Yes its true that Twitter already has its own clunky status updating app on Facebook and there are plenty of apps that do this, like Tweeter. But what sets SmartTwitter apart, aside from its simplicity of use is fact that the Twitter language kruft like hashtags, retweets, @replies and @mentions look so so out of place on the social network that many people end up disabling the app to stop the useless Twitter jargon appearing in their feed and annoying their non-Twitter using friends.
